This was my first fully fledged piece using Spectral techniques of composition. The organic development of this type of music seemed to fit well with the gradual but episodic process of change in the climate. The piece interpolates between the spectrum of a flute note to that of a goblet being rung. The first is largely harmonic, the second inharmonic. This also reflects the direction of change from order to disorder.
